Cal State San Bernardino will host the JCPenney Suit Up Spring 2019 event on Sunday, April 28, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at its department store, 300 Inland Center Drive in San Bernardino. The suit up event provides students with exclusive discounts on select men’s and women’s career dress apparel and shoes. Current students and first-year alumni will receive a special discount card of 40 percent off their purchase the day of the event. Student ID is necessary to receive the special discount card. The discount is valid only on April 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:​30 p.m.​ The store will be closed to the public during the event. In addition to discounts on career dress apparel, attendees can get a free mini makeover by Sephora inside the store and receive a free hair consultation. Attendees are also encouraged to download the JCPenney Mobile app prior to the event so they can start earning $10 rewards. CSUSB Career Center staff and campus volunteers will be on site to provide tips and suggestions on attire. The Career Center also seeks donations of JCPenney gifts cards in any denomination for attendees. Gift cards will be raffled off during opportunity drawings taking place during the event. The gift cards will be kept anonymous in blank envelopes and values will be revealed when opened by the winner. Monetary donations may be made directly to the “CSUSB Philanthropic Foundation – Career Center” at any time.
