Podcasting China: A Conversation with the Prolific Hosts of the China History Podcast and the Chinese Literature Podcast
Laszlo Montgomery (above left) is the creator and host of the China History Podcast (link), reaching thousands of
listeners with every episode for over ten years. He is the founder of Teacup Media (link), and has vast experience
working in the China market for over 30 years.
Lee Moore (above center) is the co-host of the Chinese Literature Podcast (link) and will complete his PhD in
Chinese in less than a month. His research focuses on the making of identities within museums in China and
Taiwan. Lee also works as a journalist, having written for The Economist, SupChina and That’s Guangzhou.
Rob Moore (above right) is the co-host of the Chinese Literature Podcast (link), and in June of 2021 completed his
Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of Oregon. He taught English in China for ten years, and
completed a master’s degree in Chinese Literature at Nankai University, in Tianjin. He specializes in translation
practices in early modern China (1895-1912).
