Mobilized by Injustice: Criminal Justice Contact, Political Participation, and Race
Dr. Hannah L. Walker is an assistant professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research examines the impact of the criminal justice system on American democracy with special attention to minority and immigrant communities. Previously, she served as an assistant professor of Political Science and Criminal Justice at Rutgers University (2017-2020), and a post doctoral fellow with the Prisons and Justice Initiative at Georgetown University (2016-2017). She received her PhD in 2016 from the University of Washington.
Dr. Walker’s book, Mobilized by Injustice (Oxford University Press), explores the impact of experiences with the criminal justice system on political engagement.
