Dr. Vera Schwarcz is Professor Emerita of East Asian Studies at Wesleyan University, and Research Associate at the Truman Institute, Hebrew University—Jerusalem. Author of many books of history, visual culture, and poetry, Schwarcz has written on the connections between Chinese and Jewish traditions in her award-winning Bridge Across Broken Time: Chinese and Jewish Cultural Memory (Yale).
