You're invited to discover the magic of the world's first National Park: Yellowstone. While visiting this great American landscape, you will be able to see natural geological features, as well as wildlife such as bears, bison, and moose. Yellowstone is home to one of America's greatest natural wonders, Old Faithful Geyser, and many other geothermal features. We will also spend a couple days in nearby Grand Tetons National park and make a quick visit to Cedar Breaks National Monument on the way home. Join us on this adventure packed trip that you will be sure to remember!

Itinerary 

Day 1: We meet at the SRWC to load up our van and begin our adventure. Our first destination will be Bear Lake Campground in Utah 760 miles away. Along the way we will stop for meals, gas and to stretch our legs. 

Day 2: Happy 4th of July! After a quick breakfast at camp will hit the road, only 330 miles to go! We will stop in West Yellowstone for lunch and then continue to Bridge Bay Campground in Yellowstone National Park where we will spend the next 3 nights. After setting up camp we will check out some nearby attractions like Natural Bridge and West Thumb Geyser Basin. We end our day making dinner at camp and relaxing by the campfire. 

Day 3: Grand Canyon Village and Mammoth Hot Springs exploration 

Day 4: Old Faithfull and Grand Prismatic Spring exploration 

Day 5: After breakfast we pack up camp and move down the road to Grand Teton National Park where we will set up camp at Colter Bay for 2 nights. After lunch we you will be able to canoe on the lake and hike the trails near the shore. This night we will grab dinner at a park restaurant and have a change for a shower! 

Day 6: Will start with a hike around Jenny Lake at the base of the Tetons and check out the many overlooks in the area. 

Day 7: It time to start our journey back to Cali. Our destination is Cedar Canyon Campground it Utah, 535 miles away. On our way will will stop in Jackson for an hour to look at the local shops as well as make stops for lunch and dinner

Day 8: On our last day well will take a side trip to Cedar Breaks National Monument to enjoy the Geological wonders. After lunch we return to Campus stopping for dinner and gas along the way.

Food
16 meals are included, starting with breakfast on day 2 (7 breakfasts, 5 lunched, and 4 dinners)
7 meal are not included (3 lunches, and 4 dinners) 

Hygiene and Comfort
We will be carrying some food, clothing, water, and equipment in a pack weighing up to 10lbs. We will be staying in reserved campsites. The campsites are within proximity to flush or vault toilets and there are showers in Grand Teton NP (Day 5-7). We will have access to potable water. You will have the option to share a tent with one or two people or sleep out under the cover of the stars.  Light weight tents, warm synthetic sleeping bags, foam pads and ground tarps will be provided to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. The ground consists of soft and hard soil.
