As part of Hispanic Heritage Month activities, the Pfau Library, College of Arts and Letters, ATI, ASI, World Languages and Literatures Department, and Acto Latino invite you to join us for a screening of Latinos Beyond Reel: Challenging a Media Stereotype.

Directed by Miguel Picker and Chyng Sun, Latinos Beyond Reel draws on the insights of Latinx scholars, journalists, community leaders, actors, directors, and producers, offering a sweeping historical look at Latinx representations in U.S. news and entertainment media.  The film shows how these representations have shaped public attitudes and government policies over time.

After the screening, Dr. Rafael Correa, Professor, World Languages and Literatures Department, will engage the audience in a discussion.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Sign-in sheets will be available to faculty who wish to offer students extra credit for participating.
