La Jolla Kayak Tour
The La Jolla Ecological Reserve is home to our friends — leopard sharks, Garibaldi (California’s state marine fish!), lush kelp beds, sea lions, and even the occasional pod of dolphins! Our experienced tour guides will share fun facts and history about La Jolla, safely guide you along the sea caves and lead you through one (ocean conditions permitting), and most importantly they will make sure you are having fun! No experience required!
Departs: 1:00 PM (weather permitting)
What to expect:
Your La Jolla Sea Caves kayak tour will start off at the La Jolla Kayak shop where you will check-in with our front desk staff, and get fitted with your helmet and a personal floatation device. You will then be introduced to your tour guide and group, and walk to La Jolla Shores together. Our beach staff will greet you and match you with your paddle. Your tour guide will do a 15-minute paddle instruction to prepare you for maneuvering in the ocean.
Entrance into the sea cave is dependent on weather and ocean conditions. You will get wet! We rent wetsuits (not included in price).
Please arrive 30 minutes before your 1:00pm tour to allow for parking. We recommend arriving early and enjoying lunch at the beach. You will need to provide your own transportation and meals. No CSUSB Adventure staff will be onsite. Price only includes kayak use, paddle, life jacket and guided 90-minute tour. Mask may be required.
