Opera Theatre Presents: The 7 Deadly Sins (Faculty Opera Production)

We invite you to the West Coast premier of the piano and percussion version of Kurt Weill's "The Seven Deadly Sins" opera, on Feb. 5 at CSUSB. The performance is a collaboration between CSUSB, Mojalet Dance Collective and the lotusflower new music project. This production is funded in part by the city of San Bernardino Fine Arts Commission.Anna I (who sings) and Anna II (who dances) are two facets of one personality. At the behest of her family, they travel to six different American cities to make enough money to build a little house on the banks of the Mississippi. In each city, she/they encounter a different deadly sin, and Anna I (the practical side) rebukes Anna II (the artistic side) for engaging in sinful behavior – that is, behavior that hinders the accumulation of wealth.Tickets are on sale now, visit music.csusb.edu.  $15 general admission;$12 for senior citizens, faculty, staff and alumni; and $8 for students. Parking is $6 at CSUSB.
