In this workshop facilitated by Leon McNaught, participants will gain a general overview of why accessibility is important when preparing instructional materials and how to use formatting, captioning and universal design to increase the accessibility of instructional materials and Blackboard courses. The topics covered include: creating accessible documents and presentations using structure and styles; creating captions for videos; best practices for creating accessible pdf from Word documents; checking your Blackboard course for accessibility; how to find further resources and where to ask for help.
