Coca Cola and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) will be hosting a STEM Summit focused on preparing Latino students for internships and jobs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The HACU STEM Summit will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the California State University, San Bernardino. Students will participate in a one day summit of career preparation workshops and panels.  Complimentary registration will include morning and lunch meals and free parking in Lot D.  FIVE (5) Student Track scholarships will be awarded to attend HACU's 30th Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas on October 8-10, 2016. The scholarship includes hotel, round-trip airfare, and conference registration. All participating students must submit a one-page resume in order to be eligible to win a scholarship. Winners must be present to receive the scholarship. Attendees will receive completion certificate and communication from HACU to your faculty to assist in excusing you from your Wed. class (talk to your faculty first to make arrangements).

STEM Summit Objectives

  • Learn about STEM career opportunities from industry professionals
  • Gain tips on securing internship opportunities
  • Receive feedback on improving your resume, interviewing and networking skills
  • Meet and interact with successful professionals from leading corporations

Program Eligibility

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at an institution within an 80 mile radius 

STEM majors (including Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Chemistry, Geosciences, Life Sciences, Physics, Astronomy, etc.)
