Justice for My Sister Film Screening and Discussion (ESVT Qualifying Event)

October 23, 2017
All Day
SMSU Theatre

This event satisfies the mandatory yearly End Sexual Violence Training requirement.
This is a film screening and discussion with the director of Justice for My Sister , a film which follows one Guatemalan woman during her three-year battle to hold her sister's killer accountable. She encounters many obstacles: a police record that's missing, a judge who's accused of killing his own wife, and witnesses who are too afraid to testify. In the end, Rebeca emerges as a leader in her community with a message for others: justice is possible. This event is sponsored by CSUSB VOICE peers, the University Diversity Committee, and the SMSU Women's Resource Center.

**This event counts for the annual mandatory End Sexual Violence Training--bring your Coyote ID.
