Cruising the Adriatic Info Session

Come and hear the fascinating story of the beautiful region that was once Yugoslavia. You’ll learn about the history, politics, culture, food, and sites to be discovered in our November 2019 OLLI cruise to the Adriatic countries of Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Hear the amazing story of their homeland from Bosnian refugees, Azra and Nenad Jerkovic. Based on their first-hand knowledge and experience (then and now), Azra and Nenad will help us understand the transition from the former Yugoslavia to the individual countries that now make up the region. In addition to learning about the history and politics of the region, we’ll learn about the local people, customs, cuisine, currencies, and basic communication. We’ll also see some short videos related to our 2019 trip itinerary.
