Dr. Mary Texeira earned her doctorate in sociology from the University of California, Riverside. Her dissertation explored the experiences of sexual harassment among women law enforcement officers. She has taught introductory sociology, critical thinking, and classes on race and gender at CSUSB since 1994. She is a past recipient of the Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching. She serves on the executive board of Option House, Inc., a family violence prevention shelter serving the Inland Empire for over 30 years.
