All Day
Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA
We’re off to visit this unique national research facility that carries out robotic space and Earth science missions. JPL helped open the Space Age by developing America's first Earth-orbiting science satellite, creating the first successful interplanetary spacecraft, and sending robotic missions to study all the planets in the solar system as well as asteroids, comets and Earth's moon.

JPL is a federally funded research and development center managed for NASA by Caltech, a partnership that profoundly affects JPL's intellectual environment and identity. JPL is known for its world-leading innovation, programs in planetary exploration, Earth science, space-based astronomy, and technology development.

Your 2.5 hour tour includes a multimedia presentation on the lab’s activities and accomplishments, a visit to the Space Flight Operations Facility, and the Spacecraft Assembly Facility. Please note that the walking distance for this tour is approximately .8 miles with multiple flights of stairs. All participants must present a U.S. government issued photo ID or passport for entry at JPL. Includes a no-host lunch stop at the Montrose Shopping Park, Glendale’s historic old town.
