Guest Lecture - Lucia Guerra

Dr. Lucia Guerra is a Chilean author and emeritus profes-sor of Latin American Literature at the University of California, Irvine. She specialized in Critical Theory, Gender Studies, and Creative Writing. As a fiction writer, Lucia Guerra gives voice to women’s silenced experiences; she denounces social subordination. She has won the Plu-ral Essay Award, the Casa de las Américas Prize, The An-nual Translation and the Gabriela Mistral Awards for her prestigious essays, articles, and books that have been published internationally.
