Make A Difference Day at CSUSB Palm Desert Campus
As part of the Make a Difference Day, the Office of Community Engagement partnered up with Palm Desert Campus students, faculty, and staff to volunteer at the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Palm Desert Civic Center on Saturday, October 29th. The event supports those who have lost a loved one to Alzheimer’s or those who are caring for a loved one with this disease. PDC volunteers assisted with registration, event set-up and tear down, and throughout the route as cheerleaders for the over 250 walking participants. Walk organizers were extremely grateful for PDC volunteers and look forward to an on-going partnership for this event.
The Office of Community Engagement sponsored a clean-up event in Palm Desert on September 2, post Hurricane Hillary. The volunteer's dedication and enthusiasm truly made a difference in Cathedral City. Thank you to the volunteers for "Leaving Their Paw Print" in the Palm Desert Area!
