CSUSB is excited to be part of the CSU Chancellor’s Office Direct Admission Program for Fall 2025. This groundbreaking initiative gives qualified high school students from Riverside County the opportunity for automatic admission to CSUSB — without the need for a traditional application.
CSUSB Direct Admit students must meet the following requirements:
- Riverside County High School Student: All applicants must be a High School Student from an institution located in Riverside County
- A-G courses: Complete the A-G coursework with a 2.5 GPA or higher at the end of junior year
If you’ve met these requirements, you’ve already earned your spot! The CSU Chancellor’s Office will send you a special notification by mail and email, along with a coupon code for a free application through Cal State Apply. From there, you can easily select CSUSB as your first-choice university.
Application Deadline
The Fall 2025 application deadline has been extended to Jan. 31, 2025 for all majors, except for transfer students applying as nursing pre-majors.

Fall '25 Application Requirements
First-Year applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
A first-year applicant is a student attending high school. High school students can earn college credit while enrolled at their school, however, cannot earn college credit after the summer immediately following their high school graduation date in spring. Students who take courses beyond the summer following the graduation date will need to follow the transfer path. If you are a non-traditional high school student who has graduated early or is homeschooled, please contact us if you have any questions.
You are eligible for admissions as a first-year student if you:
- Graduate High School: All applicants must be a High School Graduate or Equivalent
- 2.5 GPA: Earn a 2.5 or higher "A-G" grade point average (GPA) for California residents
- A-G courses: Complete the 15 unit comprehensive "A-G pattern with a grade of C- or better by high school graduation
Transfer applicants must meet one of the two eligibility path requirements.
