House Finch

The House Finch is common year-round, breeding resident on campus. They are usually seen in medium to large-sized flocks, except during the breeding season. It is a common breeding resident in southern California.

Adult male House Finches have a red head and breast (variably orange or yellow), brown upperparts, and white underparts streaked with brown. Females and juveniles have brown upperparts and brown-streaked white underparts.
