The Hermit Thrush is a rare migrant and winter visitor to campus from November through April. It is a common migrant and wintering bird in southern California, as well as a rare and local breeder in the high mountains.
High Count: 3, Average Count: 1The Hermit Thrush can be identified by its brown head and upperparts with contrasting reddish tail, and gray or white underparts with brown spotting on the throat and breast.
