The Northern Rough-winged Swallow is a common spring migrant and breeding resident on campus from March to June, becoming uncommon in July and August. It is a common migrant throughout and a common breeding bird in the coastal lowlands of southern California.
High Count: 10, Average Count: 2-4
The Northern Rough-winged Swallow can be identified by its brown head and upperparts, pale brown throat and breast, and white belly.
