The Osprey is a casual visitor to campus with about half a dozen records of spring migrants from March to May, and two additional sighting from 07 Nov 2011 and 02 Aug 2015. It is an uncommon migrant and winter visitor and a rare breeder in southern California at large lakes and along the coast.
The Osprey can be identified by its dark brown upperparts, white underparts, and white head with a black eye stripe.
