The Brown Creeper is a casual visitor to campus: two were seen 14 Oct 2007, one was present 16 Nov 2009-10 Mar 2010, and another was seen 28 Oct 2013-02 Feb 2014. It is a common breeding resident in the mountains, and a rare fall and winter visitor elsewhere in southern California.The Brown Creeper can be identified brown streaky upperparts, white underparts, thin decurved bill, and its habit of climbing or crawling up the trunks of trees while foraging.
