Priority Application Period is Oct. 1 - Nov. 30 for Fall 2010

Students interested in attending Cal State San Bernardino in 2010-2011 are encouraged to file their applications during the priority application period for fall 2010, which will run from Oct. 1 through Nov. 30, 2009.

In the past, CSUSB has accepted applications after the priority application period. However, because of severe reductions to the California State University budget, fewer students will be admitted during the coming year and the closing date for applications has not been determined.

Those who apply during the Oct. 1-Nov. 30 priority application period stand a better opportunity to gain fall 2010 admission, provided they qualify and complete all of the necessary requirements for admission.

Interested high school seniors need to submit their applications by logging onto CSUMentor. CSUMentor is a Web-based system that helps students plan and apply to the CSU online. CSUMentor is designed to help students and their families learn about the CSU system, select a CSU campus, finance higher education, and apply for admission. The site offers technical support, course-check, and open and closed campus information.

Students should pay close attention to all of the admissions information they receive from the university, such as deadlines, event dates and the additional documents they need to finalize their application. Failure to adhere to deadlines will result in students’ admission cancellations. Students are strongly encouraged to take the entrance exams such as the SAT or ACT as well as placement tests such as the Entry Level Math exam (ELM) and the English Placement Test (EPT) as soon as possible to improve their chances of getting admitted to the university and know what classes they will take when they are enrolled.
