The College of Education is pleased to announce a special Latino Education and Advocacy Day (LEAD). The objective is to promote a broad-based awaremness of the crisis in Latino Education.
Please join us as we convene key stakeholders: teaching professionals and educators, researchers, academics, scholars, administrators, independent writers and artists, policy and program specialists, students, parents, families, civic leaders, activists, and advocates. In short, those sharing a common interest and commitment to educational issues that implact Latinos.

As Dennis Larney and John Caldwell earned their master's degrees at Cal State San Bernardino, they discovered a niche for a fast-tracked academic program in the Coachella Valley to turn skilled or academic professionals and retirees into credentialed teachers. Called the “Designated Subjects Vocational Education Teaching Credential,'' the certification program is co-taught by adjunct professors Larney and Caldwell at the Palm Desert campus of CSUSB.
